Before you come in. Some tests, such as glucose, triglycerides and some cholesterol and iron markers, are best taken after 8 to 12 hours without food, with water allowed. Why Omnia

A clinic, not a testing kiosk.

The value of a blood test is in what happens after the numbers arrive. At Omnia, your results become a plan.

  • Practitioner review included. Every result explained in plain language: what is in range, what is borderline and what to do next.
  • Joined-up care. Results can inform acupuncture, Ayurveda, physiotherapy or nutrition care here, or a referral to your GP.
  • Honest about what testing is. A result outside the range is a prompt, not a diagnosis. If anything needs a doctor, we say so and give you the report.
  • Close to Turnham Green station. On the District line, with Piccadilly line trains early morning and late evening. Limited parking is available on request when booking.

Questions

Before you book.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You choose the test, book online and the sample is taken at our clinic. We review the results with you, and a GP feedback report is available on request for every test.

Which test should I choose?

Start with one of our eight Omnia Health Checks, use the test finder above for a suggestion, or book a general appointment and your practitioner will confirm the right panel with you before any sample is taken.

Do I need to fast before my blood test?

Only for some tests. Glucose, triglycerides and some cholesterol and iron markers are best taken after 8 to 12 hours without food, with water allowed. Most others, including a full blood count, thyroid, vitamin D and HbA1c, do not need fasting. We tell you when you book.

What is included in the price?

The sample at the clinic, laboratory analysis and a review of your results with our team. There are no hidden extras.

Can you send a report to my GP?

Yes. A GP feedback report is available on request for every test, including home kits. Let us know when you book or at your appointment and we will prepare a report you can share with your GP.

What is a Randox blood test?

Randox is a UK diagnostics company whose accredited laboratory analyses samples for clinics across the country. We take your sample in Chiswick, Randox analyses it, and an Omnia practitioner goes through the results with you.

What if a result is outside the normal range?

A result outside the reference range is a prompt, not a diagnosis. Your practitioner explains what matters, what is borderline and what is worth rechecking. If anything needs a GP or specialist, we tell you clearly and give you a copy of the report.

Can I do a test at home?

Yes. Many of our tests are also available as a home kit, analysed by the same Randox laboratory and reviewed by our team. Look for "Also as a home kit" on a test, or browse the home kits section, then send an enquiry or call us and we will arrange your kit.

Why do some tests have female and male versions?

The core markers are the same. Female versions include hormones such as oestradiol and progesterone with CA-125, and male versions include testosterone with PSA. The Complete Man and The Complete Woman are separate checks, each designed around men's or women's health.

How much is a private blood test in London?

Private blood tests in London usually cost about £40 for a single marker and £100 to £500 for a full health check. At Omnia, single tests start at £39 and health checks at £89, including the blood draw, laboratory analysis and a review of your results.

Do you have a clinic in central London?

No. Our only clinic is in Chiswick, W4. From most of central and West London it is a single District line journey to Turnham Green.

Testing is carried out in partnership with Randox Clinical Laboratory Services, an ISO/IEC 15189 accredited laboratory (UKAS Lab ID 9329), and reviewed by an Omnia practitioner. Where a panel has female and male versions, the difference is mainly the hormone and tumour marker selection. All prices include the blood draw, laboratory analysis and a results review.

These tests do not replace care from your GP. If you have worsening symptoms, unexplained weight loss, bleeding or severe pain, please see a doctor first.
