Questions about Omnia Signature

What does Omnia Signature test for?

Omnia Signature measures over 160 biomarkers across heart, metabolism, liver, kidneys, thyroid, hormones, iron, vitamins and minerals, immunity, inflammation, infection history, gut, brain and nerve proteins and tumour markers.

Do I need to fast before this test?

We recommend 8 to 12 hours without food beforehand, because the test includes glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride markers. Water is fine and helps the draw. We confirm this when you book and can offer an early appointment.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You book directly with us, the sample is taken at our Chiswick clinic and we review the results with you. You receive a written report to share with your GP if anything needs following up.

What is included in the price?

The blood draw at the clinic, analysis at the Randox accredited laboratory, an in-depth practitioner review of every result and a written report, for £995. There are no hidden extras.

Can this test diagnose cancer?

No. Tumour markers can be raised for many reasons unrelated to cancer, and a normal result does not rule cancer out. Your practitioner explains any result in context and refers you to your GP if follow-up is needed.

Why are there female and male versions?

Most markers are shared. The two versions differ in a small number of hormone and prostate markers.

What if a result is outside the normal range?

A result outside the reference range is a prompt, not a diagnosis. Your practitioner explains what matters, what is borderline and what is worth rechecking. If anything needs a GP or specialist, we tell you clearly and give you a copy of the report.

Which Randox panel is Omnia Signature based on?

Omnia Signature is our name for the Randox Signature panel, with a practitioner review of your results included.
