Why West London patients choose Omnia

One clinic for West London, easy to reach from every direction

Omnia Lifestyle is on The Avenue in Chiswick, between Hammersmith, Ealing, Acton, Brentford, Kew and Richmond. Most of West London can reach us on a single District line train, and the 94, E3, 190, 267 and 272 buses all stop close by. That makes it practical to come weekly for a short course, which is how acupuncture usually works best.

Acupuncture here is delivered by doctors trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Dr Jialin Zhu, a member of the British Acupuncture Council, and Dr Youzhong Wu and Dr Shu Fen Zhang, members of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Every plan starts with a full consultation, and cupping, Tui Na and electro-acupuncture are added only where they help.

If travelling is difficult, after surgery or with reduced mobility, our doctors also visit homes across West London. See home visit acupuncture for details, or acupuncture in London for the full service.

What we treat

What people across West London come to us for

NICE recognises acupuncture as an option for chronic primary pain and for preventing migraine and tension-type headache. For other conditions the evidence is mixed, and your doctor will tell you honestly what to expect.

Your first visit

Assessment first, then a plan built around you

  1. Consultation. A full history, with pulse and tongue diagnosis from the TCM tradition, and questions about sleep, digestion, stress and the problem itself.
  2. Treatment in the same session. Hair-fine, single-use sterile needles, with cupping or Tui Na added where they help.
  3. A clear plan. An honest view of how many sessions you are likely to need. Acute problems often respond within three to six weekly sessions.
