Why athletes choose Omnia

Sports physiotherapy built around your training

Runners, cyclists, footballers, rowers, climbers and gym-goers come to our sports physiotherapists in London when an injury stops them training. Your first 70-minute appointment includes a full assessment of how you move and load the injured area, a clear explanation of what is wrong, and hands-on treatment in the same session.

Your physiotherapist, Mohammad Heidari or Khushbu Tiwari, both HCPC registered, then builds a rehabilitation plan around your training: what to keep doing, what to pause and how to load the injured tissue so it gets stronger. Sports massage, Pixformance guided training and InBody and Styku scans are in the same building when your plan needs them.

Read about sports injury treatment, whether physiotherapy can prevent injuries and soft tissue injury healing times.

Running injuries

Runner’s knee, shin splints, Achilles and plantar heel pain, with a graded return to running. Try our runner’s knee exercises.

Sprains and strains

Ankle sprains, hamstring strains and pulled muscles, assessed properly so you know how to load them. See sprain and strain treatment.

Return to sport

Strength, control and sport-specific work so you go back confident, with sports massage for recovery between sessions.

Questions

Sports physiotherapy questions

Where can I see a sports physio in London?

Omnia Lifestyle is in Chiswick, West London W4, two minutes on foot from Turnham Green station on the District line. You can book a sports physiotherapist online.

What is the difference between sports massage and sports physiotherapy?

Sports massage eases tight, overworked muscles and helps recovery. Sports physiotherapy starts with an assessment and diagnosis of a specific injury, followed by treatment and a rehabilitation plan. If you have pain that changes how you move, start with physiotherapy.

How much does private physiotherapy cost?

Your first appointment is a 70-minute assessment with treatment for £99. Follow-ups are £90 for 45 minutes or £70 for 30 minutes, and a 30-minute consultation is £50. Our physiotherapy is recognised by AXA Health, Aviva, WPA and Vitality.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book a private physiotherapist directly online or by phone. If you are claiming on health insurance, check whether your insurer needs a GP referral or an authorisation code before your first session.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the problem and how long you have had it. Your physiotherapist gives you an honest estimate at the first appointment and reviews progress at every follow-up. Read how many physiotherapy sessions you may need.

When should I go to A&E instead?

Go to an urgent treatment centre or A&E if you heard a crack or snap when you were injured, cannot put weight on the injured limb, or it looks misshapen. For advice on a less urgent injury, call NHS 111 or see your GP.
