Turkey neck is loose skin and weaker muscle under the chin and down the front of the neck. A neck lift tightens and lifts the skin of the neck, and often the neck muscle too. The NHS says to expect anything from a few thousand pounds for a mini facelift to £10,000 for a face and neck lift, plus consultation and follow-up costs.
The NHS gives about 2 to 4 weeks for full recovery, with bruising for at least 2 weeks. The surgeons' association BAAPS says the final result cannot be judged for about six to nine months, and that scars fade over 12 to 18 months. Risks include bleeding, infection, numbness and nerve injury.
Surgery gives a bigger and longer-lasting change than any non-surgical treatment, at more cost and risk. LPG suits people who want to improve skin quality without an operation, or who are not ready for one.

LPG cannot remove excess skin or reposition muscle bands. A plastic surgeon can tell you whether a neck lift suits you.
