Why a course rather than a single session
Endermologie works by repeatedly stimulating the connective tissue and circulation beneath the skin. A single session improves circulation and gives a temporary lighter, smoother feel, but structural change in skin quality takes repeated stimulation over weeks, in the same way that exercise changes muscle. The trials that show results use courses, not one-off treatments.
Typical structure
Weeks one to four: two sessions a week. Weeks five to eight: one a week. Review at session six to check response and adjust. Most people complete 10 to 15 sessions. For loose skin after weight loss or pregnancy, or for very fibrous cellulite, courses run longer.
Session length
A full-body session is around 35 to 45 minutes. Targeted sessions for a specific area are shorter. Our Discovery Session is 60 minutes because it includes consultation and tissue assessment.
Maintenance
Results fade over months without maintenance, because the underlying tissue structure returns to its default. One session every three to four weeks keeps the improvement. Some people prefer a short top-up course before summer or an event.
What affects the number you need
The type and age of cellulite, skin elasticity, body weight stability, hydration, activity and smoking. Combining with Body Ballancer compression therapy or red light therapy can support results. We will give you an honest estimate at the Discovery Session at our Chiswick clinic and will not sell a course to someone whose cellulite is unlikely to respond.
