What both checks include
The Complete Man and The Complete Woman are built on the same core of 90 biomarkers. That core covers a full blood count, a detailed heart and cholesterol profile including apolipoproteins, Lp(a) and small LDL, blood sugar with HbA1c, insulin and C-peptide, liver and kidney function, bone markers, a full thyroid panel with antibodies, iron studies, vitamin D, B12 and folate, immunity and autoimmunity markers, H. pylori, pancreatic enzymes and a urinalysis. Both also include the main sex hormones: FSH, LH, oestradiol, prolactin, SHBG and testosterone.
What only The Complete Man adds
Free testosterone, which shows how much testosterone is available to the body rather than bound to proteins, and total PSA, a prostate marker. PSA is best read alongside age, symptoms and family history, and a practitioner explains what a raised value does and does not mean.
What only The Complete Woman adds
Progesterone, which helps assess the second half of the cycle, and the free androgen index, used when looking at symptoms such as irregular periods, acne or excess hair growth, which can point towards conditions such as PCOS.
Which one to choose
Most people choose the check that matches their sex. If you are trans or non-binary, on hormone therapy, or unsure which set of hormone markers is more useful for you, talk to us before booking and we will help you choose. If your main question is narrower, such as tiredness, a smaller panel like Tired All The Time may be a better fit.
