What LPG does around the knees
The Cellu M6 Infinity treats the knees as well as the thighs, buttocks, hips, stomach and arms. Around the knee, the rollers and controlled suction work on the skin and soft tissue above and beside the joint, where skin often becomes softer or more crepey with age or weight change. Your therapist keeps the settings lower close to bone. There are no needles, no heat and no downtime.
Most people treat the knees as part of a wider leg session rather than on their own, because the skin above the knee is usually linked to changes on the thighs.
Where to go next for your concern
| Your main concern | Best next step |
|---|---|
| Soft or crepey skin | Read our guide to crepey skin or see skin tightening in London |
| Dimpling on the legs | See cellulite treatment in London |
| Leg shape | See body contouring in London |
| Knee pain | See knee pain and our physiotherapy team, as LPG is not a treatment for it |
What to expect
Most people notice change after 6 to 8 sessions, coming weekly and then monthly for maintenance. Change around the knee can be subtle, so your therapist will tell you honestly at your Discovery Session whether LPG is worthwhile for you. Results vary, and evidence for LPG is mixed.
Who this is not for
LPG is not suitable with active cancer, an infection, phlebitis or a blood clot, open wounds or inflamed skin. If you have a circulatory or blood disorder, recent surgery, a pacemaker or an implanted device, ask your doctor or surgeon first. Heavy loose skin around the knees may suit surgery better. LPG is not for a hot, swollen or painful knee. See your GP about any unexplained swelling, pain or skin change, and read about a swollen knee if that is your main concern.
